On Tuesday, May 25th, from 9am to 2pm, SMTD will host a follow-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic at the downtown Transfer Center off 11th Street between Adams and Washington. The Sangamon County Department of Public Health and the Illinois National Guard will staff the clinic. No appointments are necessary, and two tokens for a free SMTD ride will be given to individuals who receive the vaccine to cover the cost of bus rides to and from the clinic. 2nd Doses of the Pfizer vaccine will be available for those that received their first dose at our last clinic in late April. The Johnson & Johnson one-shot vaccine will also be availalbe, and first doses of the Pfizer vaccine will also be on hand. However, to get the second dose after our May 25th clinic will have to go to the Illinois State Fairgrounds clinic. For more information on the COVID-19 vaccine, visit www.SCDPH.org.
